Can anyone identify this flower?

  It looks like one of the alliums that form bulbils with the seed head. Does it smell oniony? What are the leaves like?

  Possibly Allium roseum  commonly called rosy garlic.

  I dug some up and they smell of garlic, so googled wild garlic

  Allium canadense has a more starry flower. The petals are pointed, yours are rounded. Allium roseum is a wild garlic in the mediterranean region.

  Wild garlic in Britain is different though - it's Allium ursinum, with white flowers and without those bulbils.  You're looking at Allium canadense on that web page, which grows wild in Canada, presumably... but might have been planted in your garden.
