Propagating Alstromerias

I have 2 large pots of Alstromerias and thought I had lost them all over winter.  In one pot I have discovered some rhizomes but they have little or not root.  Is there any likelihood of getting any growth from those?  The other pot does have some lumps of rhizomes with roots so hopefully I will have some success with them.

I've just made a tactical retreat from the pots as I discovered a massive ants nest in the pot with the 'good rhizomes'.  Hopefully the birds will have a good feed if I stay out of the way for a while.  They may be little but those ants have quite a bite when they are ****ed off.
