Photos in posts missing

NollieNollie Posts: 7,529
Not sure when the problem started as have been away for 10 days, but on catching up on my reading I notice posts are missing the photos, for me at least. Forum replys show others have seen them so the OP’s have posted successfully... not even an icon to click on, just not there...

Anyone else experienced this problem?

there was a file size limit applied, so I'm guessing everything over that size has been deleted?

I also have this problem sometimes, and I do wonder what people are talking about!

The large photos won’t be taken off, so I can’t see those threads but I’ve just seen your photos Nollie, the ones of the front of your house and an orange rose.
maybe you had a slow internet day and they didn’t load.

Lyn is right, when your Internet is slow you can't see any of the bigger photos. I have slow Internet, I can't see the big photos but sometimes I can if I wait a few minutes. I wish everyone would keep them to under 2MB.

Most likely my slow sat internet, then, thanks all. It’s photos in other people’s posts that are missing - so like floralies I am in the dark - like when someone posts a pic for ID etc., they must be there otherwise they would get no responses!

I agree tho, Buzy-Lizzie, I wish the limit was smaller than 6mb! In saying that, I don’t know what size or how to resize pics taken with my iPad, my only internet tool. I assume they are below 6 since they appear...

If you want to make them a bit smaller on iPad, tap on edit in the top right corner then select the symbol that’s a bit like a square with arrows round the edge, you can then draw the line that appears round the photo, in a bit, to cut of any bits you don’t want, then tap Done at the top right corner. That’s cut off the rubbish and made it much smaller for the site.

Thanks Lyn, I didn’t realise cropping an image would make it smaller, mb wise, but logical if I had thought about it!
