Rose problem

I have a rose (standard ) in a big planter it has developed yellow leaves and very few leaves, it is situated in sunny spot any ideas of what is the problem.

    How long has it been in the planter? and have you refreshed the soil lately? and have you fed it recently? I am assuming it has not been short of water - it may need a feed.

    Could be black spot too which can make leaves dropped prematurely. Either way, soil management, feeding and possible re-potting are probably the way to go.

    Been in planter for 2 years and every year gets fed with rose food granules, but I will increase the watering routine as it is in a very sunny place.
