Saw this beauty situated on the hospital site as I was walking out of work. Can someone please tell me what it’s called.

    A Lilac hybrid (Syringa).

Thanks @Paul B3. That’s perfect. Do you know if it’s a tree or a large shrub? Didn’t get close enough to see. Didn’t want to look like a weirdo taking random pictures on the cctv cameras  :p

You can leave lilacs to grow into trees, or keep them shrubby.  I like them as trees but they are quite lanky so you need a bit of room.  Wonderful flower and perfume off them this time of year.

Usually seen as medium sized trees ; can get moderately large if unchecked ;(that is a euphemism for being undisturbed) ! Height of 20'-25' is not uncommon .
Usually heavily scented and very popular in parks & gardens of all sizes .
PS :- You wouldn't have to worry about being classified as a 'weirdo' around here (E.Lincs) ; most of the locals already are !!!!!

Thanks very much for your time and information @Paul B3 and @Wayside

Will be looking to get one and keep its growth restricted. It’s so beautiful and bright.

Your comment tickled me Paul 😂

Is that a viburnum with the white flowers?

    It looks like a Choisya.
