As a vet would it be unethical to steal some medical drips from work? I always think those things look handy for doing the house plants while I'm on holiday.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
If you plan on using it year after year, I would think a large lidded crate fitted with a spigot would be far better. It would be easier to fill, last longer, and contain more water. You could either attach a soaker hose or a drip system. It will probably work out much cheaper too.
