Acacia(?) Type

I think this may be an Acacia, but can anyone tell me if I'm right and, if so, what variety please? I saw this in Majorca and am wondering if this would survive back in the UK - I'm especially taken by the gnarled bark and feather-type leaves - would look to purchase an established one if it will survive.

Thanks

Would like to see a good close up of the leaves/leaflets.
Pretty well impossible to id accurately without any flowers.
Unlikely that this tree would survive a  long, cold, freezing UK winter.
    Perthshire. SCOTLAND .

  • I do wonder if it is the beautiful jackaranda tree, not hardy so doesn’t grow in the UK as far as I know.
  • Have a look at Gledisia tree, I don’t know about the bark structure but the leaves are nice and fern like. This will grow in the UK.

I think you're right Freddie's Dad - Black Locust seems to be a match, thanks. Anyone know of any good nursery I could pick one up from? Ideally in the South Wales area but would travel a but further

Update: We asked a local garden centre owner, it is Tipuana Tipu (rosewood). Sadly not hardy in the UK so will go with a Black Locust as closest available match. Thanks for your suggestions guys.
