Look at that Cagzo.. you've started wind-chime-gate.. a natural continuation off of cat-gate, now that has quieted down.   ;)

They can be extremely irritating. We had a neighbour who put some up. Even though we had young children, those chimes out-noised them totally! Everyone around them was driven spare by them [including themselves] and they eventually got rid.
Please be aware that, although you may like them, it's not like buying a statue, or a plant, or anything else you like. They have an impact on other people around you.
If you live in the middle of nowhere though - it's much easier  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Any noise made by anyone else, is annoying. IMHO.

Sorry guys, but my little chimes are very unobtrusive, unlike the guy across the street revving his motor bike and car,the ice cream van,the "any old iron man"kids screaming up and down the street and the squawking seagulls!

Can I suggest that you take them in at night ... what may seem unobtrusive by day can drive light sleepers to distraction at night ... our lovely neighbours were mortified that we'd had to resort to ear plugs ... when we eventually felt we knew them well enough to mention it without them taking offence.  :(

When they eventually decide to chime,I will take them in at night, then I can ask the people next door to do the same with their two incessantly barking dogs.

Wind chimes!  I bought some little metal ones and some bamboo ones for the garden and they drove me mad.   Constant noise.
I'm with you on that one Obs. Noise pollution.
Nooooo! You guys just got the wrong kind. Get some JW Stannard chimes. They provide a delicate, melodic tinkle in the background - a wonderful accompaniment to the birdsong and rustle of leaves.

Why would they need an accompaniment?
    In London. Keen but lazy.
