What is eating my plants

Please help. Something is eating my Shasta daisies and asters. It's definitely not slugs as I've treated the area with nematodes, put down sheep fleece pellets and crushed egg shell. I haven't seen any slug trails around the plants but there are loads of ants.

I don't know about you but I always had big slugs in mind and had discounted it. Go out on a mild, damp evening though and you'll probably find tiny ones you need to search for.
