Euphorbia?

Guernsey Donkey2Guernsey Donkey2 Posts: 6,713
I was given a few of these plants last year.  We tried to ID it but had no luck on here.  Now I think it is a Euphorbia.........?  Is it, and what variety is it?

    It is.
I am racking my brains trying to remember which one.

    Might be E.pallustris.

The plant is quite low growing - under 12 inches, will the flowers become any more prominent?

No, that looks about full size to me.

Take care handling any euphorbia, the sap can really cause damage

Yes, I thought I had read on here that they can cause irritation - thanks for the warning Lily also for the identification punkdoc.  This is only it's first year of flowering and the shades of green and yellow along with the ferns, grasses and reeds is lovely - I hope that it doesn't grow much larger though.  I will try to take cuttings in the late summer/early autumn if I can.
