Acer/Maple infection

Please see attached photo with leaf infection leaf budded about 10 days ago can anyone tell me how to cure remove this infection and what it is. should i remove tree from garden

    Maybe Anthracnose?  Usually that is more along the veins though..

    I have looked a little further and I believe it is maple leaf galls caused by Eriophid Mites
    Still working to find the cure
