Identification help please

This grows at the seaside - can anybody help. I though it might be from the dainthus family. It has low growing foliage but the stems can be 8 inches high. Thanks.

I would say it's Armeria maritima

I mostly use Latin names for plants but like Tessa this will always be thrift to me.
