Crambe cordifolia - is a giant sea kale
cenolophium denudatum - Baltic parsley
selinum wallichianum - milk parsley

Thanks

It's clear that trying to grow crambe cordifolia in my garden is a mistake. I am now trying to find good homes for them. But I don't know many people with a garden big enough to pull it off.

I'm really hoping the milk parsley will grow up this year, though I have my doubts. I have over-estimated growing speeds significantly.

  • Yes, I’m growing Crambe for the first time this year. Can’t wait to see its frothy white flowers.

I used to grow crambe beside my pond until one winter it just died. Quite a nice architectural plant with a smallish footprint.

Smallish? What would you say was your footprint, Hogweed?

Nut says it smells strongly of cabbage. Has anyone tried growing in a deep pot?

It doesn't smell of rotten cabbage all the time, just when the leaves are going over. I wouldn't have described the footprint as small but the top leans out beyond it
