Electric garden rake

I have been given a electric garden rake  is there any particular time of year to use them

    Right now would be good. Be prepared for a mountain of debris though and your grass may look dreadful afterwards if there is a lot of moss and thatch to remove.

    Is it for scarifying lawns? I was trying to imagine how one could be used to collect leaves ?!

    @Fire  Yes they are for scarifying lawns.  I use mine once in the spring and once in the autumn. I couldn't manage without it due to health issues.
