Marestail and Kurtail

hi

ive got it. It's been spread for a few years now but continues. Going to splash out on Kurtail as heard it is the best. Has anyone used it? From Progreen.

also have in the veg patch. Would people recommended not using any chemicals there and just keep pulling I think up every year?

thanks

I haven't used Kurtail but it is the only product I've read of where a number of people have reported long term success.  I would be read the label carefully before using on a veg patch as I don't know if it degrades immediately on contact with soil or not.

Other people have used it on their allotment, works well and dies very quickly.  However it reappears, just as thickly within a couple of months!  The best way we have found to control it, is to dig it up as soon as it appears.  Then burn it or dispose of it, don’t compost it! It does get less over time.

Apparently if you mash the stalks up before applying, it works better
