Lilies - a basic question

My liliies are in pots, not an awful lot bigger than the bulbs.
Would they do better in bigger pots this year?
Will I need bigger pots so they can get ready for next year?

    they like tall  thin pots and plant them deep, very deep, up to 12"

    Whenever I re-pot my lilies I find they've made babies but I do plant them in groups in big pots, about 60cm deep and wide.

    Many lilies grow extra roots from the base of the flowering stem above the bulb which is why they need planting deep.  My tree lilies do well planted 5 to a large pot approx. the same size as those obelixx mentions.

    I have some long toms that roses came in. I'll use them for now.

    I've just had a thought - it happens sometimes ;)
    They've all sprouted .some are about 3-4" high. Is it too late to plant them deeper this year?

    If you can do it without disturbing the fragile roots, I think you'll be fine.

    So it would be ok for the shoots to go back under the soil?

    Yep, it won't take long for the shoot to grow through a few more inches of soil.  :)
