When I went to work in a garden centre, straight form school, I read it as cotton easter. I'm so glad I heard someone else pronounce it before I said it out loud. I also remember being asked about "Liquid Amber" and looking it up in the "common names" section. We all live and learn.

I've always said it like this.
Putting the em-PHA-sis on the wrong syll-A-ble gets on my wick!
I think clemAtis sounds horrible so I don't say it.
