Holly leaves being chewed

Just noticed a few chunks missing on some leaves plus 3 or 4 have dropped off. I moved it last year, it's still only 4 or 5 feet as was grown from a sprig. Any ideas on what's peckish? Would the hot weather spike cause a few leaves to drop? Also just seen flower buds on it for the first time.
