Hello Dave.I think the variety is called Sensation. I've never grown them in pots but they don't require any attention when grown in borders. They are a bulb and in spring start to grow, around about May they start to flower, insects love the flowers and eventually they set seed. I deadhead most of mine as they will self sow all over the border. The drawback to them is the foliage goes scruffy very quickly. The advantage of them being in a bed with other plants is the foliage gets hidden. There are many other varieties with larger flowers and shorter stems.

Hello Bilje, Thanks for the helpful information really useful with what to do when they are finished. Davemed.
the foliage normally looks pretty scruffy by the time the flowers are out, but don't worry. Give them a liquid feed , liquid sea weed, or photrogen, or similar, then they can store up energy for next year. You can then stick the pot behind the shed , hedge etc until next season, otherwise let them completely die back and remove them from the pot and store them out the way of mice until the autumn before replanting them.
