Beautiful foliage, but is it a weed?

    The top one is aquilegia, a perennial, should be flowering soon although I'm not sure about the strange 'tops' in the second pic..

    I think they’re the same and could be buttercup or similar

    Thank you. The pictures are of the same plant and I don’t think it’s aquilegia. I’ll check some pictures of buttercup.

    Its not buttercup after seeing the close up, it’s definitely not Aquilegia.

    Thank you, Lyn. Nutcutlet has identified many of my plants in the past. I enjoy checking the ID threads just to learn more about plants.

    I think it could be a Thalictrum. (Meadow Rue) :)

    Good spot Fritillary. Starts off looking a bit like maidenhair fern. I think you're right!
