I want to grow ginger and have a small piece with a shoot on it. Should I grow it in the greenhouse? Any advice most appreciated.

It's a tropical plant so needs warmth and humidity.  Start it off indoors where you can keep an eye on it then transfer to the greenhouse when bigger.

The RHS offers this advice - https://www.rhs.org.uk/Plants/19233/i-Zingiber-officinale-i/Details

Tip - if you post again, put the subject in the title, not your name.  More people will read and offer advice that way.

Obe the name appearing  in the title is a fault on the site on some devices!
People don’t want their real names mentioned, it just happens.

Oh, OK.  Only ever use a PC.

I wonder how that sits with data protection rules ...

I don’t know but it has been discussed in the first ‘how to ‘ posts.
