Plant ID help please

Can anyone help with this please? It’s a lovely thing with grows from these rhizomes, leaves unfurl later.

    Agreed with Darmera: after the flowers you get lots of large leaves
    In my previous garden that's what they did. But, we planted a few (purchased) rhizomes last year in our new garden and now they're just starting to put out leaves. But no flowers! Is that usual with newly planted rhizomes?

    If it’s any consolation Damp, we have three clumps in our garden and only this one has flowers this year, the others are all leaves, but they flowered last year!

    Well, no schadenfreude intended(!), but, phew, at least I'm not the only one :smile:

    Maybe they got whacked by the Beast, but I didn't see any flower stems, and I was looking obsessively.
