Unknown Garden Plant

Hi all, I'm new to this web-site. Can anyone please identify this plant? I have recently moved home and the raised flower bed is full with this plant. Currently it has no flowers, but I'm pretty sure it's not a weed. Many thanks.

I think it is tall buttercup, Ranunculus acris, because of the long flower stems.

  • Many thanks Dimwit, the plant/weed now has a name! Many thanks also hollie hock. We have only just moved here so what to do with the garden is at present undecided. If it's a weed it's appearance to me is easier on the eye than the usual thistles, etc. It certainly grows very quickly which made me think it was a ground covering plant. However, my gardening skills and knowledge are pretty poor having lived in a flat for the last 7 years! I am no gardener but do appreciate a nice outdoor space. Many thanks again.

There are other things in there too.
The leaves in the top right hand corner are different and look like aquilegia.
Those right at the bottom of the pic might possibly be aquilegia again, or something else, hard to see..
Take care when weeding, as the buttercup will infiltrate evrything in its path, so try not to dig up what might be more useful :)
