are they friends or foes? In the first photo, it's the plant on the left. Thanks.

No 1 is alchemilla Mollis, lovely zingy foliage and yellow foamy flowers.
No 2 is garlic mustard, a weed in theory, but easy to pull out of unwanted and much beloved by caterpillars, orange tips lay their eggs on it among others

Alchemilla mollis
(aka Lady's Mantle) will seed around like stink, so if you don't want it spreading cut off the flower heads before they set seed.
