Suggestions Please

Hi, any suggestions for a gap at the front of my border. Preferably low(ish) growing evergreen, long flowering perennial with either blue or purple flowers. Also would appreciate suggestions for best hardy geraniums for pots / wheelbarrow. Thanks...

Vinca, if the gap is shady, or bugle (Ajuga reptans). If it is a bit shinier, Violas or pansies will do almost year round. I don't think you'll find better geraniums for sun than G. wallichianum sorts (like famous Rosanne, or its sports). For shade, there's G.phaeum.

Vinca, whether minor or major, is a thug and spreads like wildflower.  I spent 20 years trying to get rid of it at my last place!
