    I have beer traps a plenty in my beds and very little slug damage (so far)on any of my young tender plants so I am 98% sure that mine are AWOL and have not been eaten. Janie B That is great news, so pleased your sprout search was fruitful!

    I dug over a patch on Friday and came across a dahlia tuber that I'd left in!  It has loads of shoots on it - so replanted!  All my potted dahlias are now sprouting or growing well (even a couple that I nearly chucked out a couple of weeks ago!) ... (GL54 area). 
    That is really good to know, there is hope for mine yet!! :)
