Mystery perennial

Can anyone identify this perennial? I've moved house and don't recognise it. It's clump forming and growing in a large area of flower bed which doesn't have much else in it.

There are some Lily of the valley growing in between, which are the larger smooth leaves.

Sweet williams?

Not entirely certain here , but bears a resemblance to Lysimachia punctata ;(yellow-loosestrife) , prior to developing its flowering stems .
Probably wrong though !!

Saponaria officinalis?

Have just googled Saponaria , and looks like that's the correct ID !

Thanks @nutcutlet I think you're right! The leaves definitely look like Saponaria (Soapwort). They have 4 distinct vertical panels. See e.g. http://www.aphotoflora.com/images/caryophyllaceae/saponaria_officinalis_soapwort_leaves_19-09-08.jpg. That's really helpful as now I can dig up some of it and plant around it without worrying about what size/colour it will be!
