I got one in my garden in London. Thankfully, the doctor spotted the lymes disease ring. You have to be so careful.

Apparently mozis (and other darling insects) chose their victims by smell.

So do I, but I get shredded if I so much as put a toe outside my backdoor. Sometimes in the summer I literally go and water for five mins and come back with five bites.  I read about blood type having to do with it too. I am blood type O. I sing a lot, where red often and am muscular, so maybe (re the article) that has to do with it too - deep breathing, lots lactic acid. I am, however, no pregnant and don't drink much alcohol. A pregnant, alcoholic body builder with a penchant for red lycra would be in bog trouble with the mozis.
