Marsh Marigold???

harvestccoharvestcco Posts: 11
Hi, I bought this in a pot a few years ago and it's been sat in the same pot for a few years. Finally got round to renovating the garden so gave it a home. Is it Marsh Marigold does anyone know or something else?

Thanks

looks like it though rather a sad specimen. The clue to making it happy is in the name.

We have this growing in and around our pond - lovely bright, cheery flowers at this time of year.

Thanks all. Yes, does look a bit sad but now I'm sure what it is I can move it do an area that gets a bit waterlogged after heavy rain.

ImI 3/4 of the way through a big garden project. I bought a few plants over the years thinking I was going to start and they've been sat in a corner for a while, still in their plastic pots, Marsh Marigold included.

The garden's really coming on strong now, just need to dig out a small wildlife pond. I'll post pics when I get chance.

Thanks for your help, I've been reading this forum for advice for the last couple of years.

:)  Plant it at the edge of your wildlife pond, where it can dip its toes in the water ... it'll be happy as a pig in muck just there

Once it's happy - it'll spread too. It's a great early plant for insects.
I have the white version which is flowering just now.

Good luck with your project and take plenty of photos to update us all. We all love a pond here  :)

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
