Cherry tree recover

Hi. I live in Toronto Canada. Last year I bought 1 years old cherry tree. I kept it in pot for 3 months and it start to grow and had new branches . I planted it to the soil and it is on soil for 1 year. When i planted in the soil leaves started to fade. Recently i saw some animals attacked it and ate its branches. I attached picture of it . So if someone can help me to can i recover it or no. It is 2 inches high. Thanks 0
