    Definitely not Cerastium. Cerastium flowers have 5 petals whereas Zebrina's flowers have fou.r

    And the flowers aren't right for Verbena either, but are for alysum. Still think it must be alysum, despite the leaves not quite matching with other photos I've seen.

    The flowers are typical of Brassicaceae, but I'm sorry, Zebrina, it's not an alyssum (at least not Lobularia...).

    Cerastium tomentosum (snow in summer)

    may i just ask if you are quite familiar with Cerastium....i have germinated some seedlings of this one about 3 or 4 weeks ago, so i'm just wondering how slow growing this might be from seed, will i be planting out in autumn or most likely having to over winter some pots?
