    It is not possible to garden without bending, lifting etc., unless you have a full time professional gardener to do it for you. Even raised beds on legs involves stretching and lifting. That is why gardening is considered one of the best forms of exercise.

    I am in my senior years now, have replacement knees and ankle plus arthritis in almost every joint so find it very frustrating to be limited in what I can do. I just have to do little and often what I can manage, and absolutely no kneeling, not even with cushions or kneelers. Very frustrating. 

    I dose myself with anti inflammatories and resign myself to knowing I will be very stiff and sore the following day, but that does not keep a keen gardener down.
