Is this frost/wind damage or something else wrong with my hydrangea.

Hello all, just noticed that several of my hydrangea (Annabel) leaves looks and feels crisp around the edges and was wondering if you could help diagnose what this is? And whether I should be doing anything to tend to this. FYI its planted on a north west facing corner, receiving sun in the evenings and has been kept watered on a weekly basis. Many thanks for your help/advice.

    Leaves on Annabel not opened yet so I hope I avoid frost damage.

    Certainly does tin pot! Last year the same plant was crisped and looked plain awful since September, whilst the paniculatas were doing fine (then and now) in the other parts of the garden. Wondering if this is common with Annabel’s or time to relocate to a different part 🤨 as is a drafty corner. Lucky you Joyce 🙂.

    Mine’s just recently planted out and apart from the damage has done really well in just a few weeks - so I’d say yours will be fine too.
