Sounds lovely, but if you arethinking of using a washing up bowl or similar for your pond, do please be aware that small animals/amphibians could fall in and so need a rock or two to climb out - I once had a baby hedgehog fall in and drown to my regret.
Yes, I can see a pond and bog garden combo. Ferns, hostas, brunnera and maybe an astilbe or two. You could have something to trail down the wall too...maybe creeping jenny or mind-your-own-business. It’s got potential...the critters will love it.
Talking about tiny ponds, I've found an old white china potty - the kind kept under the bed in the good old days and was wondering what to do with it (clean suggestions only please!) Would it be naff to put a miniature water lily in it and put it in the garden somewhere?
