M9 Trees in pots, when to plant

Hi, I purchased two M9 rootstock trees from Tesco back in Feb, One pear conference and one Victoria plum.I did  plant these after purchase on some spare land I have away from my house, however  I've had to move them after some vandalism to other plants I have on the land. I've temporarily moved them to large bell pots, the plum tree (I believe its the plum tree as Ive moved them about and stupidly not labeled)  looks quite merry and has started to grow leaves, the pear tree is completely bear though. My question is how long can I keep them in pots for? I still haven't quite decided where to put them.

My pear has yet to come into leaf.  I have seen blossom on it.  Will double check in a moment.  UK SE.
  • Aha, thank you for enlightening me! Doesn't actually tell me the rootstock from the card with the tree, however looking online believe its Quince A for the pear and St. Julien A (Dwarf) for the Plum. Think I've found a spot for what I believe is the Plum, and I'll plant the pear in some common ground that is overgrown in front of my house and hope it bears fruit!
