what is this plant

About 10cm tall, growing by my pond. Extremely thin stems, leaves about 2-3cm.
Interesting because in the slightest breeze the leaves 'tremble'.
I've potted one up in the hope it will flourish - the one by the pond seems to be barely surviving.

They look like Epimedium Rubrum leaves. If so, they should flourish.

Yup, we have that. It adores woodland type planting
Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.”

Planted 3 in woodland, 2 looking totally dead. Haven't worked out why
