Using birth year in account name

Just a word of caution about using your birth year in your account name. It seems like quite a lot of people are doing it on the forum. I would be very ginger about putting any personally identifiable info in public posts. Year of birth is often used (too often) in passwords and is necessary for banking info. Even the year of birth of a member of family, I wouldn't recommend. Hacks and ID stealing happen all too often. If stuck for a name, a phrase from a poem or a song is safe and unlikely to be taken.

Everything on this forum is viewable on search engines like Google. It's not a private forum in any sense, though it can feel like it sometimes.
