I bought mine for a local company (Dino Decking) in the Northwest of the UK.
Really? Why did they need you to buy it for them?

As an update, in the end I did replace old wooden decking with new wooden decking. The decision came down to doubt, the schlep of digging out rocks and concrete that would have had to be taken out through the house, and the cost of composites.

Now, looking back, it might have been better to go for composite, because it doesn't need maintaining and you can have plants and pots on it without risking more rotting. I have more experience now of composites.

If I viewed my place as a 'forever home' I probably would have approached the question differently.

Can still stain though.. i've got some light rust stains, a quick jet wash fixes the issue :)

I'm not interested in keeping things pristine. I would try to find a colour which didn't show stains too much, or, over the years all the stains join together and make it look interestingly weathered. I can't really be arsed with jet washing either.

@muhammad.kayleenePAm-VF8  If you rock up and add links in your first ever posts, it's very likely you will be taken as a spammer.
  • i'm sure there would be "weathered" options out there.

I guess so - but was relevant.. no issues.

I dislike acres of brown decking surrounded by what looks like stair bannisters, but we have a shaded area under a eucalyptus, hubby put a little decking area, oblong stained black,no grass grows there,it has one of those bench/table affairs also stained black sitting on it, slightly raised because it's north facing and can get waterlogged. Find the paving slabs gets very slippery and jet washed several times a year
