Help! Leaves going brown - first time gardener

Hi all

hoping someone can desperately help me. I water all my plants regularly and look after them. My topiary is going brown and now my fern - do I have some sort of bug going about and killing them? Is there something I should be doing ? They have been fine all winter And now like this!!

any help much appreciated

    Have you had a lot of frost? It does look like frost damage esp on the bay tree.

    looks like frost and icy wind damage to me.
    I have a myrtle that's been fine for 20 yrs, and it looks similar to your bay. I've just cut off the damaged leaves. It'll be ok and start growing again soon as we get some warmer weather.
    You can check bu just cutting off a bit of stem, if there's some green, it's still alive. Some branches may have died back a bit, but fingers x'ed yours and mine will be ok
