  The porch is bright but you may be right, I'll certainly try to take them outside each day from now on, although it's a bit of a wrestle

  One or two shoots on a couple of mine got a bit above themselves, so I just cut them off and used them as cuttings. So far look to be doing fine...

  Thanks. Mine were on the porch window sill until they hit the ceiling! I'll certainly be starting them a bit later next year. 
  Unfortunately my plastic greenhouse and home made cold frame are full to bursting! It's probably just as well the weather is so grim otherwise I'd be sorely tempted to start planting out.
  I might as well take some cuttings Buttercupdays!
