Bad and then good

I was rushed into hospital in the early hours of last night, terrible pain under my rib cage, struggling to breath, fearing the worse. 7 hours in hospital, on a drip, pain killers, chest and stomach x-rays. Confirmed as having gastroenteritis brought on due to Crohns Disease that I have had for nearly 10 years now. It was so scary, especially for my poor husband. At home now knackered, desperate to get into my garden. But the good news is that I will be okay.
The icing on the cake, so to speak is that the picture of my garden from last year has been put into the Garden & Answers magazine (Chelsea edition). That put a smile on my face, and so through the pain their is the happiness, and the perseverance to keep calm and carry on.

Wishing you a speedy recovery Jacqueline29. What a lovely garden you have. Could you tell me the name of the lovely Dahlia in the foreground, it’s a gorgeous coral colour.

Hope you are recovering @Jacqueline29 - a hospital ‘experience’ is exhausting. Your garden looks fabulous so hope you can get back to tend to it soon. Bet you are chuffed to bits.

  • I was so sorry to hear of the pain you've been in Jaqueline, and glad you are now on the mend. Crohns is so debilitating,my daughter has it.

  • Thank you all for you kind words. I am on the mend and cannot wait to get back out in my garden. My lovely husband brought me this grow house, for all the seeds that I have planted for the summer. I cannot wait to fill it up. That will be the best medicine for me I am sure.
