Flooded Lawn
Hi
I'm originally from the UK but have since emigrated to Canada. I live in Saskatoon and for all of the winter our gardens are covered with snow. Unfortunately about 2 months ago the water main on the street burst and the easiest way for the water to come out was part of our front lawn. The snow has melted about 2 weeks ago and we have about 1 inch of heavy wet mud on the surface of the lawn. The mud is slowly drying out but is still too wet to rake off. I'm unsure what to do. Should I wait for it to dry or try scraping it off with a spade or just call some to remove it? The last 2 option will obviously damage the grass but I'm not sure whether it will be dead anyway before the mud had dried out. I have attached a picture. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Paul

But failing that I would rake it now with a engineers/soil rake just to let the grass breathe and see what happens.
Sorry to hear you were flooded!
