Peas advice please!

Growing peasfor the first Time this year on my new allotment do I nip out the growing tip as with sweet peas? Also after a bit of a disaster with my runner beans is it too soon to plant a piece in the West Midlands? Any advice gratefully received as I am very new to vegetables

peas are pretty hardy, you can overwinter kvelveden wonder if you protect in very cold spells. I never have any luck with direct sowings so everything is grown in modules first
