Is this a young banana?

this plant which I found growing in the middle of a pot under loads of compost. It seems to be growing a flower. The centre plant.

Saw this on way home. Anyone know what it is? Growing in a garden in London. The tree/shrub with blue flowers.

The tree with blue flowers is a Ceonothus.

Thanks. I don't suppose there's a variety you can grow in a pot. Love the blue flowers.

I think there are ceanothus varieties that you can grow in a pot. Try googling and see what you can find  :)

Parkers suggest this one is a 'dwarf' and does ok in containers. There is also a creeping variety (low ground cover)

First one looks suspiciously like corn so I would guess something grown from bird seed!

Number one could be a cordyline (maybe petiolaris) seedling.
