Has anyone taken petunia cuttings and if so did you have much success?

Have never done petunias but did have some success with calibrachoa (mini petunia lookalikes).

I took the trimmings from pinching out my plug plants and stuck them straight into a pot of compost.
They rooted in the greenhouse and made more mini plants which flowered the same year.

I gave up on planting petunias a couple of years ago, the deadheading was too much faff for me.
