Help my cactus is dying

hello
i have recently moved house and moved my beloved cactus Mr Fugly outside onto the balcony. In two weeks he looks really bad and parts of him are black. I have cut these black parts off. I am worried because black patches appear to be over all parts of him.
i have moved him inside and purchased some soap spray against mites because I can see crawly things on the black bits. I would appreciate any further advice to save him.
