Does barK mulch prevent seeds from plants forming roots? Is it a barrier for self seeders?

Reduces the number of self seeder,s but preferably lay a membrane first to get complete cover.

Depends on the depth of the much and the seed in my experience. Cuts out a lot of stuff, but the tough perennials like wild buttercup come up through it easily. Does make it easier to pull most weeds out though, and easier to spot which helps

Don't forget, seeds will arrive from above, and germinate that way too.
Same with weed membranes too.
How can you lie there and think of England
