Help identifying sweet pea problem

hi, I'm new to sweet peas and my plants have been looking great until today. See pic. I also noticed quite a few ants climbing on them as well. Any help identifying the problem? Mildew? Ant damage?

I've had leaves turn white when they're caught by a cold snap. Were they hardened off before planting out?

Ants won't eat the plants, but could indicate aphids.
Check the new growth at the top, ants could be climbing up to "milk" any aphids up there.

Hmm, they were but we did have a cold snap a few days before. Wondering about the aphids. I'll check it out tonight and spray if needed. Thanks!
