Where to find clematis Montana 'Continuity'?

FireFire Posts: 19,096
I have been looking high and low for some clematis Montana 'Continuity'. Everywhere seems out of stock. Any leads would be gratefully received. Thanks very much

No, neither do. I don't think the RHS update their website links very often.

How weird.. I had a little look around.. and it's out of stock or discontinued everywhere.  Even in the US and EU, as far as I can see.  A mystery.  I suggest you call some of the specialist nurseries, find out, and report back.  I'm curious now.  How could it just disappear?

Same here. I presume either it proved so popular it was in huge demand, a repeat flowering Montana, whats not to like? Or there were some problems with it as it matured. I remember the first incarnation of Buddlia ‘Buzz’ which were sold as dwarf ones rocketed up to huge proportions after 3 or 4 years

"I suggest you call some of the specialist nurseries".

Oh, I have. Apparently it's hard to propagate and there are only a few people in the country doing it. Any leads appreciated. Thanks

@Fire , if you do a search on the forum for "clematis nursery", his name comes up on some replies, and they are fairly recent.

Ahh.. that would make sense.  Hopefully someone here is growing it, and you can layer it.
