Deformed Hosta leaves

Hi. I'm worried about my new Hosta Halcyon'' deformed leaves. I have used slug nematodes, ferrous pellets and grit to deter munching monsters. Do snails cause twisted leaves or is this something else?

Looks like just that first leaf was damaged as it emerged, the rest of the leaves look normal.  Just nip it off.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Thanks Bob :)
  • Dear Bob. You're right. My Hosta is looking gorgeous now.
I used Nemaslug on 1st October and 3rd April, surrounded each Hosta with a ring of horticultural grit and applied Sluggo every 10 days. I used to have so many slugs they invaded my kitchen. Saw my first slugs this year yesterday so reapplied Nemaslug. My hostas are hole free. Even my fortunei albapicta's tender young leaves are unblemished.  My white Feather has been nibbled but leaves were sun damaged anyway so waiting for Autumn to move it.  Its  been raining in Gloucestershire for a week now. Fingers crossed.

Very disappointed with captain's adventure. Nothing like the catalogue picture. 'scuse my finger!!! But it's healthy. Maybe I'll like it when it's a grown up  next year.
